I can't believe it's already the middle of November. It's hard to think about the upcoming holidays when it's still so warm and sunny here in Playa del Carmen! Last week, my mom came to visit me and we went to Cozumel for a few days. We stayed at Hotel B Unique, which is a boutique adults only hotel located right on the water. The views are absolutely incredible, and we couldn't get enough of the oceanfront infinity pool. You can read my full review here for all the details! Unfortunately,...

The holiday is officially celebrated on November 1-2 but the main festivities start around the end of October. If you happen to be visiting Playa del Carmen during this time, here are a few of the best ways you can celebrate: Attend the Festival of Life and Death Traditions This...

I hope you're having a great start to the week! This past weekend I celebrated Mexican Independence Day which is a pretty big celebration here. And in case you're wondering, Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) is NOT Mexican Independence Day! That's a common misconception but Mexican Independence Day is actually celebrated every year on September 16th. There are lots of festivities for the holiday in Playa del Carmen like parades, fireworks, and the traditional "Grito de Dolores", which is the call for...
