๐Ÿ’Ž Hidden gem hotels in Playa del Carmen

Published 8 months agoย โ€ขย 1 min read

I hope you're having a great start to the week!

This past weekend I celebrated Mexican Independence Day which is a pretty big celebration here.

And in case you're wondering, Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) is NOT Mexican Independence Day!

That's a common misconception but Mexican Independence Day is actually celebrated every year on September 16th.

There are lots of festivities for the holiday in Playa del Carmen like parades, fireworks, and the traditional "Grito de Dolores", which is the call for Mexican independence.

This is when the President of Mexico comes out onto the balcony of the National Palace in Mexico City and shouts "Viva Mรฉxico" as a way to commemorate the historic moment.

Plus, all of the restaurants and bars are decked out for the occasion with music, decorations, and food and drink specials so it's always a good time!

Now history lesson aside, this week I wanted to share with you a new blog post about the best boutique hotels in Playa del Carmen.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Click here to read it now

What I love about boutique hotels is that they often have a unique design and authenticity that you don't find in traditional chain hotels.

Plus, they are smaller and usually a lot more affordable than the big all-inclusives!

So if you're looking for something a little more intimate on your next trip to Playa del Carmen, make sure to check out the post for some of my top picks!

There are some great hidden gems that you won't want to miss!

As always, if you have any questions or need any help with your Mexico travel plans, feel free to hit reply and let me know!

I read every email and I'm always happy to help.

ยกHasta pronto!
Allison

I can't believe it's already the middle of November. It's hard to think about the upcoming holidays when it's still so warm and sunny here in Playa del Carmen! Last week, my mom came to visit me and we went to Cozumel for a few days. We stayed at Hotel B Unique, which is a boutique adults only hotel located right on the water. The views are absolutely incredible, and we couldn't get enough of the oceanfront infinity pool. You can read my full review here for all the details! Unfortunately,...
